I got a bunch of Hong Kong bootlegs once when I was new to online ordering/eBay.

I threw them out, they smelled like cancer.

Been much more careful since and haven't had any more...yet. >.>

Alright so here is the link to the Cloud I just bought
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0138493094

I've been comparing it ALOT to the real and bootleg pics and I cant figure it out, the paint job and face and everything looks legit save for the hair, the hair has that same shity qualaity of the bootleg so what do you all think?

the product on the pic is official, he just got it here. on all of his other SQEX items, he only uses downloaded pics so you can't really tell if they're bootlegs.. buuuttt, he also sells PA's that don't have bootlegs (Balthier, AC Yuffie) at the same cheap price so yeah... XD

Pretty sure as long as they claim that you can make a claim to get your money back or somefing.

I didn't have any problems with any of my CC figures. I personally love CC Aeris, her face is beautiful! The FFVII's face was really odd, and the eyes were too far apart.

^ Wow, you think that? Aeris' VII PA is one of the most accurate PA headsculpts out there.

To me, It looks a lot like Aerith from the art here:
http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/f/fe/Aerith_Gainsborough_Nomura_art.jpg

but not so much like her in the FMV.

the truth is that is all about the paint job!!! I had to buy another FF VII Aerith as the first one had really horrible face!! her eyes where not equal and also too far apart!! When i saw another one in the shop I bought is straight away as you cold see a massive difference!! That what I am scared of with Garnet!! on some pictures i have seen she looks really pretty and on the other just wierd!! When you buy online is alwaya a lottery what you get! Hopefully mine one will be a winner

I guess I got lucky then, since I purchased my VII Aerith online. She's perfect. CC Aerith on the other hand... I can't even bring myself to like the "better" (prototype) pics of her. XD

@ Kiwi & Ryu: As accurate as her headsculpt is, her face is ugly. I agree with Zelu, the paint job sucked, it looked nothing like the artwork. The CC one actually looked like her render, and I loved her more.

^A perfect sculpt can be ruined by a shotty paintjob. Looking at mine (I probably couldn't have gotten one more perfect either), it looks practically the same as the source material (the Nomura art Ryu posted). I'd say it's probably one of the more impressive figures SE has done, jsut because of how well they nailed it.

^ Indeed. The paint app can ruin a perfect head sculpt. Lucky for me my Aerith looks good.... and I have bought 3 of them and always been disappointed with how she looks. The CC Aerith though... I was in TokyoToys for 30 minutes looking at different ones and still couldn't see a decent looking one.

oh my "idea" is to maybe have a thread, to help forumers/people around, identify bootlegs and help them etc.
this would also in turn increase the number of people coming to this forum.

just my 2.5 cents XD

I FINALLY got a hold of Crisis Core Cloud, by chance it was at the comic book store, I love it, when I get tried of looking at Cloud I can just switch heads and have a guard instead, I might have to pick up a couple more so Reno can have a squad to accompany him.

I already have 10 of them, mainly for my vids, but they do look quite nice together anyways. It's better having more than one infantry man, otherwise Shin-Ra has a very poor army. Too many budget cuts during this recession. :shake :shake :shake

BWR: lol, nice. That's the best thing about them, army building (well besides being an EXCELLENT Cloud). I have two right now (would get more if I saw any).

They need to do a basic SOLDIER now, tbh. :awesome

I was thinking the same thing! It would be so cool, then after that we would need the top heads of Shin-Ra to command them... THEN all we need is Cid and Barret to complete the team to fight them off..... Don't ask for much do I? XD

Out of all the Cloud PAs, I agree that CC Cloud is by far the best. I'm no fan of Cloud, but I love that figure, the paint job is fantastic. :kiss
