Square Enix at New York Toy Fair 2013!
To kick off the American toy event (the first big one of the year), Square Enix MD chose to highlight their product lineup with a license that caters to the American comic book fans taste: Enter the all new
Variant Play Arts Kai (tentative) DC Universe seriesThis new subline is described as a redesign of existing Play Arts Kai releases into something new & it looks like a lot of parts from past releases (like Metal Gear Solid & Arkham City) were remolded to create these Square Enix stylized version of DC superheroes. The line consits of Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash & Batgirl. Release dates, full accessories (& possibly the addition of Superman or Catwoman?) to be announced.
Other debuting Play Arts Kai:(Though initially leaked by Hideo Kojima on Twitter)

MGS2's Raiden

Surprisingly absent were the recently teased
Final Fantasy X Play Arts Kai Tidus & Yuna; as well as the
Warrior of Light, Zidane & Ace TA Kai minis. SQEX explains that these were postponed & are still in early development.
Another expected product that wasn't shown was the
Man of Steel Superman Play Arts Kai, still having the cardboard placeholder on display:

Fans that may feel left out (other Final Fantasies, Mass Effect or whatever other title you were hoping to be revealed/continued) may not have to wait for an event like Comic Con or TGS for the next product reveal though. We now know that we can rely on Mad Dog to post photos on social media outlets & has even expressed his desire to use their Artnia museum to showcase unreleased prototypes as well so keep an eye out
