oh ok - was wondering whether or not the forum had been part of a more general ff site - e.g. finalfantasyforums.net and had branched out as its own forum due to there being a need

i was surprised i didnt stumble upon this site earlier then as i've typed in final fantasy collecting or collectables in many times on google - spose i was just not close enough with them words + there's another site which comes up which is a bit of a graveyard of high end collectables on sale when you type in final fantasy merchandise

nevertheless doesnt really matter all that much now

I am a huge Final Fantasy nerd , playing FF13 as I type... can't stand the game, but gonna finish it. Beat 1-12 + many others (over 1,000 Hrs in FF11)

Seems like the XIII hype has, for the most part, died off. I hardly see anybody that gleams about it like I did in the first month or two after it came out. I liked the characters, story, music, and battle system, but I've come to the realization I'm not entirely crazy about it either. It really could've been the best FF in quite some time though, but they missed the mark.

about FF13:
I did not like how you walked down 1 path, no worlds to explore, no towns, no NPC stores... everything is inside the SavePoints
I also didn't like how the levels are capped so low.
So many reasons, I do not like it as a Final Fantasy... just as a game, it is playable.

I am switching between that and Chrono Cross (paying it again) right now for some classic RPGing

^ I know exactly what you mean about FFXIII, I pretty much hate it too tbh, I don't think it's worthy of the brand, even as a regular rpg it's a bit crap imo. We're pretty active considering how small we are (though we have way more people now than on the old forum), sometimes more so when a big event is going on (like now for instance). So yeah, there will always be somebody around to chit-chat with, lulz.

Yeah, that's probably my biggest XIII complaint, it just sucked the life out of it. Yeah you're on the run, I get it, no time to shop, visit towns, blah, blah, blah, I've even used that excuse myself to defend it, but it's the fact SQEX was too lazy to do the usual types of towns, shops, etc. that just really gets me fuming (they even said it themselves, it would been too much effort, and too little time ). Too hard my ass...

Oh well, we still have V XIII, which is probably going to be more FF than FFXIII is.

Anyway, we have plenty of other threads to talk about this.
